Garden Supply Center Recommendations
Traditionally, the garden supply center of choice would usually be your local garden store, just down the block or around the corner.
But in today's technological world, you have other choices. I've ordered from catalogs for years, but there are many fine online garden store choices today as well. Ordering is safe and easy, not to mention convenient.
Here are some of my best recommendations for an online garden supply center:
I like Springhill Nurseries a lot. I've found that their online store is easy to navigate. They have great sales and specials, and they also offer some free information on their site and through their newsletter. And their selection is top notch, from plants to supplies and everything in between. If I had to find something to complain about, I guess it would have to be that there are so many choices it's a bit overwhelming! Check them out here .
Gardens Alive is another of my favorite garden supply centers online because everything they sell is environmentally responsible, and that means a lot to me. They have products for flower gardening, vegetable gardening, backyard birding, soil care, fertilizer, and even pest management. They also have a number of different articles and tips that you'll find helpful. Now, if they just sold seeds and plants, I'd be able to "1-stop-shop" there. But their focus is on helping your garden, not making your garden. Check it out... You can get $20 FREE off your first order at Gardens Alive!
Don't let the name fool you... The Yardiac is an online garden supply center that caters to home gardeners as well as home landscapers. They're not just about lawns. And though they certainly would like you to buy from them, their focus is also on educating you, with dozens of articles and daily tips. If you want to add decorative items to your yard, such as planters, arbors, or gazebos, or you want to build a greenhouse, you'll find them at Yardiac.com. Interesting in birding? They'll get you started! Really, my only complaint is their name, but that's pretty minor when it comes right down to it. Check out Yardiac.com NOW
I urge you to visit the websites for each garden supply center that I reviewed above. If an online garden store is what you want, you won't do better than those 3!
